Home Sweet Home

I do miss my home back in Texas. Here there is no awesome mother that makes and or buys my favorite food(sugar) and plays with my hair. There is no Dad that tells me not to stay up to late and gives me hugs. There is no cute little sister playing the piano or adorable little brother that wakes me up with kisses, snuggles and dances with me. Living with Amber and David isn't a bummer though. It's actually a lot of fun. My mornings begin with Amber telling me that breakfast is ready. I definitely don't mind waking up to that. After breakfast me and Amber generally plan something fun. We watch movies, go shopping, eat at great places, paint our nails and do hair. It's like a long girls night. I decided that old traditions need to be started again. Therefore me and Amber are going to take up our read scriptures, write in journal then play speed time. She just doesn't know it yet. We have played speed though and I am proud to say I dominated 4-1. It's great having a sister.

I'm Bald!!!

I have been planing to donate my hair to locks of love for a long time. My vanity has kept me from acting though because my hair is my favorite personal feature. Luckily my vanity can be out done by a great deal. Amber had heard from one of my cousins that the Dulce salon will give you a free hair cut if you donate your hair to locks of love, so Wednesday Amber and I went to Chandler and off my hair went. They took off a full 12 inches. I felt bald, cool and light weight but bald. It so short that I struggle to keep it in a ponytail. I also realized the night after they cut it that it was far to short to sweep it up into any sort of bun. On the bright side Amber says it is really cute. I feel cute in it too. The best part about it is that when I finally learn how to do my hair this short it wont take very long to accomplish.

Sorry about no picture yet. This blog stiff is new to me. I'll get Amber to show me how.

Singles Ward

I woke up early to ensure that I would not arrive late to my new ward. Amber volunteered to act as my personal assistant. Lucky for me she was also volunteering her wardrobe. Amber made me breakfast, straightened my hair, loaned me her larger/better makeup collection and found me jewelry to match. After she sprayed some perfume on me she wrote our address on a piece of paper and drove me to church. That's when the moths (butterflies aren't rude enough to make some one nervous) decided that sitting still was not acceptable, so they decided to walk around. I got out of the car. Amber said she would wait to make sure I had found the right ward for where I lived. As i walked through the door the moths began to spread there wings and take off. They took off one by one, in time with every step I toke. Lucky for me as i rounded the corner i saw a man coming out of a door. I squinted (I really had to, my visions gone bad despite my youth) at the sign, then sighed internally as I asked the Bishop if I was in the right ward. When we found out that i was some of the moths settled. He then proceeded to give me the papers for me to fill out, so he could get my records transferred. Some moths woke up at that. After I told Amber that I was in the right place, i made my way back in for sacrament. ThereI meet some girls including a recent convert from china, that for blogging purposes will be called YuJie. It was only her second Sunday, but she was kind enough to help me find all my classes.
Relief Society was great. I decided that i should jump in, so I volunteered to say the opening prayer. A lot of people were gone because it was a holiday weekend, but I think its safe to say that I am most likely the youngest person in my ward. In closing I would like to note that there were many plugs in the direction of "keep dating". I might of imagined some of them because I was expecting that. It made me laugh (thankfully not out loud).
