Owl
I have this thing for owls. A few years ago I made owl stationary with some card stocks and my mothers stamps. Just recently I found this necklace at the Etsy shop Melmic. It is on sale for $5. I like it but I am not going to buy it because I am on a budget. But I think that someone should. After all, its a wise old owl.

SNOW is falling all around,
on the house tops, on the ground,
SNOW is falling every where,
on my head and hands and hair.
I don't know who wrote that song but we sang it in primary ( primary: a class where LDS children sing songs and learn about the basic principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ)
Just so you know, it also snows in you car if it is really powdery and your AC is accidentally set to bring in the air from out side. It is not much but is still a weird thing when you are driving.
Happy February.

MyTemple

Last Saturday Brett got time of so I could come see him. We drove up to Mesa and he took me to the temple. I love seeing the temple but I especially like to see this one because it is my childhood temple. I have visited it many times to see the Christmas lights, Easter pageants, to go inside and just as a little girls whose father took her to get ice cream and walk around the temple. I am so glad that there is peace there and that my family has taught me the importance of the temple.

School!!!
School has started again and even though this means that my life will suddenly be full of deadlines it also means that I get to take my creative writing class. Yea!!!! Of course I am excited for my education class too. And since I happen to be lucky enough to live by my school for part of this semester I even get to attend my classes in person until I move away. Thank you community colleges across the United States for being flexible.

Eccentric Lady
When I get older I want to be the eccentric lady that lives down the street.
I want my house to be the the colorful one that always has kids and teenager running in and out of it. Not only my kids but my kids friends too and the neighbor kids that just like hanging there because there is something to do. I want there to be a plethora of craft supplies, games and books. Snacks and baked goods should be abounding on the kitchen counter. There will be rooms in my house that will never seem to be clean. My backyard will have various contraptions and forts that will make it necessary for people to sign a waver before they can go in my backyard.
I am going to wear colorful and some times ridiculous clothing that may not be very functional for certain mom doing responsibilities. Like fancy clothes to a soccer game just for kicks. I am going to have delivered a baked good to every sister on the ward roster if I have lived in the ward for more than a year.
Its going to be great.

This is going to be my Christmas tree (well something like it) until Brett gets home for the Christmas holiday.

I found this tree on Friis and Company. They are a bunch of girls that are "fashionistas". I found this image through google. I had never been to their sight before but the little bit I saw looked like they had fun.
When Brett gets home we are going on a date to get a "REAL Christmas tree". He said that growing up he loved getting to pick out a Christmas tree with his family so we are going to do it too. He just doesn't know it yet. This (and hot chocolate with LOTS of marshmallows) is his surprise date (.......I don't even know if he likes hot chocolate.......maybe he will drink eggnog instead.)

Moving Out
Part of getting married is officially moving out. True When we got married Brett had to temperaraly deposit most of his things at his parents house (we will be getting all of his stuff when we move to CA). I on the other hand have been trying to get rid of the momentums of my childhood that I have clung to. Can you beleave that when my parents moved to TX all those years ago that I never bothered to unpack. I get to now though and it is proving such a task. Lucky me The Nester is having a 31 days to a less messy nest blog run. This post is going to be a great thing for me. And I get to put it to action as soon as I find my apartment. YEA!!!!
