Observation #1 Scratching someones back in singles ward is not just to be nice to the person (I thought it was). It is actually a nonverbal statement that this person is taken for the time being.
Observation #2 If a person uses their calling wisely it can present many flirting opportunities.
Observation #3 Sometimes people talk to you not to hear what you have to say but to listen to the conversation of the person they are interested taking place next to you because they are a) to shy to talk to that person b) doesn't want the person to know they are interested c) are playing hard to get d) already talked to the person and just want to hear the sound of their voice e) are ease dropping because that person is talking to a member of the opposite sex or f) all of the above.
Observation #4 some people don't need any encouragement to pursue another person.
Observation #5 If you want to avoid observation #4 learn how to run.
Observation #6 Sometimes effective running depends not on how fast you move but how you
move.
Observation #7 if you want to be considered a righteous example get engaged, the bishop will do
the rest.
Observation #8 It's best to be nice. Some people just need hope for the future.

Thanks for the laugh! It is sad how true your words are. I agree...sometimes running is necessary...I did it just yesterday. Well, actually I just got a circle of people around me to protect me, talked non stop about absolutely nothing, and walked SUPER fast. YUP! I've heard a million times that it is better just to tell the boy he doesn't have a chance, but sometimes it is scary to be mean, and somehow avoiding them like the plague, never answering their phone calls, and using the least amount of words necessary when you have to communicate with them seems so much easier. Too bad it takes a while for guys to take the hint though.
